Heirloom Seed Saving Workshop
Join Diane Ott Whealy, co-founder of the Seed Savers Exchange, the world's largest collection of heirloom plants, fruit trees, flowers and herbs. Diane is also author of the new book entitled Gathering. She will discuss the importance of preserving our plant heritage, describe the mission of the Seed Savers Exchange and explain how to save seeds. She will have some heirloom seeds from the collection to share, such as Grandpa Ott's Morrning Glory, the variety that inspired the founding of the Exchange, and Outhouse Hollyhocks. This event co-hosted with Slow Food Harrisburg. Cost: $5.00. Registration begins Febraury 1.
