PhxFringe - RED BOARDER
Red Border tells the story of Phoenix in the near future, where in the name of national, state and local security the city has been divided into separate zones: the Red Border zone, the White Border zone, and the Blue Border zone. There is no pretense of equality between the three zones. The Red Zone is for the elite, who seemingly have access to anything they want. The Blue Zone, in contrast, is full of Blacks, Mexicans, gays, lesbians, atheists, felons and liberals. The borders are aggressively enforced by Sheriff Turk Armenio.
The four characters in Red Border live in a residential unit in the White Zone; they are stuck in the middle. They know that any misstep could land them in the Blue Zone, but they dream of making it across the Red Border and beyond.
Red Border is darkly comic.
