PhxFringe - XO_tic
XO_tic is a work-in-progress, begun last November ,which uses media and live performance to investigate representations of femininity and masculinity through the lens of de Saint-Pontes Manifesto of Lust, drawing on Batailles obsessions with Violence and Eroticism. We use media and projection to distort memory and representations of the absurd and the uncanny, to haunt the viewers into waking up. The effects are the development of a growing Gordian knot of repetition and anguish trying to drown the desire to ride into the sunset like imaginary movie stars on magic mushrooms.
