A special program of Dada and Surrealist experimental shorts, made between 1921 and 1929. Shown on 16mm film, with live musical accompaniment by Lori Goldston (cello) and Dave Abramson (percussion).
Includes films by Viking Eggeling, Hans Richter, Man Ray, Fernand Léger & Dudley Murphy, and René Clair. Also on the program is "Un Chien Andalou" by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali.

ABOUT LORI GOLDSTON
Classically trained and rigorously de-trained, possessor of a restless, semi-feral spirit, Lori Goldston is a cellist, composer, improvisor, producer, writer and teacher from Seattle. Her voice as a cellist, amplified or acoustic, is full, textured, committed and original. A relentless inquirer, she wanders recklessly across borders that separate genre, discipline, time and geography, performing in clubs, cafes, galleries, arenas, concert halls, sheds, ceremonies, barbecues, and stadiums.

ABOUT DAVE ABRAMSON
Percussionist Dave Abramson is a founding member of Diminished Men, and a member of Master Musicians of Bukkake. Has has also done time in Climax Golden Twins, and collaborated with Secret Chiefs 3, Eyvind Kang, Six Organs of Admittance, Grails, etc.
