The Love of Three Oranges
What do you get when you mash-up an Italian fairy-tale with slap-stick comedy and anime? You get Obscene/Courageous Theatre's version of The Love of Three Oranges, Carlo Gozzi's commedia dell'arte classic! A melancholic prince, cursed by an evil witch, travels to a fantastical land in search of his true love, and on the way encounters magicians, demons, talking inanimate objects, and a lady so well-endowed that she sweeps floors with her self. This highly original production combines the irreverent humor of Italian commedia with the energetic style of Japanese anime to create an unusual and hilarious experience, sure to leave you thoroughly entertained and at least a little bit disturbed.
