The skin is our largest sensory organ and touch is the most common way to interact with our world. These are also the two most impactful and versatile way we connect with another person. Join Sophia to learn the basics when it comes to massaging your loved one to increase intimacy and arousal. She will talk a little about anatomy, what to use, how to protect your body while pampering another and share her tips and tricks to make someone feel loved and desired via touch. There will be plenty of demonstration and even a chance to practice your new skills!
This workshop is appropriate for all genders, orientations and skill levels. If you can, please come with a practice partner. If that is not possible, please still join us as there is plenty to learn from watching and and we may be able to pair you up.
Workshop attendees also get a 15% discount on any store merchandise while they're at the workshop.
Please bring a towel or yoga mat and wear loose, comfortable clothing. Massage oil will be provided for use during the class.
Sophia Sky was raised by wolves.
After she was socialized, she became a massage therapist and then taught a variety of massage techniques and anatomy at a nationally accredited vocational school. Teaching is among her many passions in life. Sophia offers workshops with a heavy emphasis on how understanding human anatomy and physiology can enhance one's enjoyment of bdsm activities via increased safety and options. As a switch, she draws on her experience of being on both sides of the bdsm equation in order to apply anatomical knowledge to what it is that we do.
The arts play a large role in Sophia's life as an artist, model and performer. She has been involved with the Seattle Erotic Art Festival since 2005 and took on the role of Visual Art Director in 2011.
In August of 2012, Sophia became the Director of Education for the Foundation of Sex Positive Culture. Sophia also maintains a therapeutic massage practice at WellSpace, located in downtown Seattle.
