In this two-hour workshop, you will learn how to plant vegetable, flower, and herb seeds for your entire summer vegetable garden, along with the skills to plant seeds again, and again, and again.
Nan brings a huge selection of seeds: tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, melons, pumpkins, sunflowers, marigolds, cucumbers, zucchini, zinnias, squashes, basil, tomatillo, cilantro, and a few surprises too. You'll plant them all (if you want) and take them home to grow and eat all summer long.
You'll learn Nan's fool-proof process as she answers your seed starting questions such as:
-- Which seeds to plant in the warm season and which to plant in the cool
season
-- How to start different kinds of seeds
-- How to read seed packets
-- The best seed starting tools (you'll be surprised!)
-- Ways to avoid common mistakes
One person per signup. Only 20 people per workshop.
Suited for children (with an adult) ages 12 and older.
