Next Stage Cooks: Soups & Stews of Spain & Portugal
Please join us for an evening of Soups & Stews from Spain and Portugal with Linda Stavely. Linda helped start the Common Ground restaurant in Brattleboro, started and ran The Portable Feast at the Colony Mill Marketplace in Keene, and has been teaching cooking classes in the Keene area for many years. Her classes are fun and informative!
This is a hands on class, where we will cook and dine together (wine included)!
The class will be making six soups and stews from Spain and Portugal to warm you this cold winter. The menu includes:
~ Sopa de Pedra (Portuguese stone soup, hearty vegetable soup)
~ Caldo Verde (Portugese green Soup, sausage, kale and veggies)
~ Caldeirada a Moda de Guincho (Portugese fish chowder)
~ Sopa de Ajo (Spanish spicy garlic soup)
~ Sopa al Cuarto de Hora (Spanish clam, shrimp, and rice soup) ~ Caldo Gallego (Spanish bean, potato and meat stew)
Breads will be served to soak up the broths!
