BOOSTmeUP - building community through dance
Marlo Ariz, Artistic Director of eXit SPACE | theNEST, founded the BOOST dance festival in 2009 to offer a building block for up and coming choreographers and veteran artists. By selecting works from both the beginning and professional choreographer(s) we are able to broaden the audience for each, promote the up and comings work, and celebrate the veterans new works. They have proudly sold out each show for six seasons.
Beginning in 2014 they added the BOOSTmeUP dance festival. BOOSTmeUP aims to create community and connections within the young dancer schools and students of the Northwest. We hope to bridge the gap within the dance community at an early stage of training in hopes that when our young dancers move onto college and professional careers they will have already established deep roots and mentorships outside of their primary school's walls. We are committed to the development and progression of young dance artists and work diligently to provide them with exceptional opportunities to create, perform, and unite.
