Kinky Friedman "TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR"
Kinky Friedman is something. He has over four decades of experience under his belt and black cowboy hat. Hes a singer, a songwriter and certainly known for some of the best/bad-ass outlaw country songs. After running for governor of Texas and writing a host of novels and magazine columns, Friedman is returning to music with his first album of original material in 39 years.
The Loneliest Man I Ever Met is a personal, story-telling album filled with descriptive tunes, glass-raising tales and topics to ponder when the album is over. Track four, My Shits Fucked Up, is a Warren Zevon cover that Friedman uses as an allegory to current world issues. Though not original material, its perhaps a way to explain Friedmans close to forty-year absence in the music scene.
