CAMOC 14th Annual Conference - Frankfurt - Germany and Workshop

Pre-Conference Workshop entitled "Migration:Cities | (im)migration and arrival cities" will be held the 2nd of June

The 14th CAMOC Conference on the topic "The Future of Musuems of Cities" will be held the 4th and 5th June 2018

CAMOC, ICOMs International Committee for the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities, is a forum for people who work in or are interested in museums about the past, present and future of cities, including museum professionals, museologists, urban planners, historians, urban anthropologists, archaeologists, sociologists, researchers, and students.
This will be CAMOCs second conference in Germany following the ICOM 2011 Annual Conference in Berlin. It will promote knowledge sharing and debate about the present and future models and definitions of city museums around the world.
Whereas ICOM is leading a project to present new definitions of the museum over 2017 and 2018, by means of the Museum Definition, Prospects and Potentials Standing Committee, CAMOC will work on the city museum definitions and models.
