Join national award-winning duo Morro and Jasp for a one-time workshop in professional clowning!

"Impulse and Play: Discovering your Inner Clown"
*Ages 16 and Up*

This workshop will focus on the basic components of clowning and engaging with an audience. Starting by getting in touch with impulses, nurturing them, and then growing them, we will explore enhancing one's sense of play and risk taking. This internal experience will be used to create a connection with an audience - one rooted in presence and emotional honesty - in order to reveal the heart of the clown.

For people with all levels of performance/clown training or experience.

The Canadian Comedy Award and Dora Award-winning team behind MORRO AND JASP  Heather Marie Annis (Morro), Amy Lee (Jasp), and Laviolette (Director, Dramaturge)  have created 10 full-length shows over 12 years, including sell- out hits Morro and Jasp do Puberty, Of Mice and Morro and Jasp, Morro and Jasp: Go Bake Yourself (the play that inspired the Award-winning cook book Eat Your Heart Out with Morro and Jasp), Morro and Jasp: 9-5, and Morro and Jasp in Stupefaction. MORRO AND JASP also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015 to rave reviews and a sold out run.

Up Your Nose and In Your Toes Productions (U.N.I.T.) is the home of the MORRO AND JASP clown series and the brainchild of Heather Marie Annis, Amy Lee and Byron Laviolette. The company has been nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards, three Canadian Comedy Awards (winning the 2014 Award for Best Variety Act), a Broadway World Award and over 10 NOW Magazine Awards including Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Production, Outstanding Ensemble, and Outstanding Direction. The MORRO AND JASP cookbook, Eat Your Heart Out with Morro and Jasp, was published by Tightrope Books and won a 2015 Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Best Innovative Cookbook.
