Intro Patterning for 3-D Soft Sculpture
Join guest artist, Honey Goodenough of Boston, as she guides this hands-on introduction to patterning class. Learn the skills for flat patterning and foam construction. Participants will use principles of basic origami to understand qualities of paper, folds and darts, then apply those concepts to make a simple, scalable pattern. Participants will then use their pattern to construct a soft sculpture foam character, which can be used as a mask or head for a moving mouth puppet. All materials are included.
