"Our Favorite Things" with the Cherry Trio
"Our Favorite Things," a performance of baroque and chamber music by the Cherry Trio, will be presented Saturday, December 30th at 3pm at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts, Carmel.
The trio - Elizabeth Gaver, Penny Hanna, and Katie Clare Mazzeo - will explore the expressions and approaches English and French composers took as they traveled on their musical journeys. The concept of a tonal center gave grounding and direction to the melodies and inner voices surrounding their individual excursions.
Featured music will include works by LeClair, Buxtehude, Krieger, Fischer, and Rogers and Hammerstein, among others.
Tickets for the afternoons performance are $25.00. As last year's event was oversold, we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Thank you.
