***A Tour of TCL Chinese Theater***
***A Mini Scavenger Hunt @ Universal City Walk***

Want to learn how to quickly familiarize yourself with new cities across the world when you travel?
New to Los Angeles?
Want to enjoy a day as a Hollywood tourist?
Want to gain confidence traveling alone in new places?
This workshop is a hands-on experience in Hollywood and Universal City Walk.
You will discover ways to quickly learn a new city and its pedestrian and transportation culture.
You will learn about the various public transportation options in LA and well even get on the subway.
You will learn to navigate in Hollywood, discover some hidden gems for food, art and music and a bit of local history.
What the day looks like
11:30 am
- Quick tour of Union Station
- Overview of the days agenda
- Metro (public transportation) Orientation
- Ride the Red Line to Hollywood and Highland
Exploring on your own and pick up lunch
** one of the goals of this workshop is to help you be more confident being alone in a new city or place, so you will be encouraged to venture out alone for part and try your hand at doing the tasks alone.
2:15 pm
Meet at the front of TCL Chinese Theater and get a VIP inside the theater!!
3:30 pm
After our tour inside the Theater well head back to the Red Line station at Hollywood and Highland and head up to Universal City Walk
4:15 pm
Here we will do an mini-scavenger hunt
6:00 pm
To wrap up our eventful day we will have dinner at the Hard Rock Café
What to bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Layered clothing, as it may warm-up throughout the day.
- A bottle of water (stay hydrated), and snacks if you need additional nourishment beyond lunch.
- Fully charged cell phone (you will be asked to download an app for the scavenger hunt part of the day)
- Credit card or cash for lunch & dinner, and extra spending money in case you see something you cant live without.
What will be provided:
- A paper map of Hollywood
- Your very own metro card (loaded with the necessary $5 for the day's adventures)
- A booklet of the days events and a place to keep notes, etc.
