The Elderquest: Living Consciously while Growing Older -- Berta Parrish

The evening of our lives is the time for the elder's quest with its distinct set of trials and triumphs that can be met by using different tactics and abilities from those used in earlier stages of life.
By now, we have learned that we cannot control what happens to us and our loved ones, but we can choose how we respond to these circumstances. We can transform the inevitable physical, psychological, and spiritual challenges of aging into opportunities for growth and satisfaction.
After you hear a brief overview of the principles and practices of conscious aging, you will, in this workshop, take the first step by re-framing some of your unexamined, self-limiting thoughts, beliefs, and emotions about aging into life-expanding ones.
Come ready to reflect, to share, and to be re-vitalized by new possibilities.
Berta Parrish, Ed.D, is a retired college educator, writer, and a certified Conscious Aging Facilitator with a strong background in Jungian and Archetypal Psychology. She has published articles on spiritual journaling, womens issues, and Wise Woman ceremonies. Berta also offers Practical Jung, Dream Questing, Elder Tales, and Myths Women Live By workshops. Her book Wise Womans Way: A Guide to Growing Older with Purpose and Purpose guides women through this initiatory experience.
