LATE NITE ART 7: Outsiders
DATE: Thursday, February 7th
TIME: 7:00 - 10:30pm
LOCATION: Creative Growth Art Center, 355 24th Street, Oakland, CA 94612
TICKETS: $25 - $50 entrance fee includes the workshop, art supplies, and a three-course menu of delicious local dishes courtesy of Grace Hearth.
ABOUT: LATE NITE ART it is an evening of collaborative art-making, ambient music, to-die-for food and insightful discussion. In a few words, it's a social art experience. LATE NITE ART is a facilitated workshop that encourages you to work in free form. You can expect to meet interesting people, swirl around some tasty alcoholic beverages in your mouth, and treat your taste buds to some delicious eats. LATE NITE ART is an open platform for all non-artists and artists alike to come together. You don't need to be able to color within the lines or draw portraits of fruit bowls you just need eyes, ears, and an open mind.
With this month's theme "outsiders," we will explore the outsider art revolution, take a look at who remains on the outside of mainstream culture, and share our ideas about what we want to let "inside" our own lives...

Fuschia: Zatar Spiced Beet, Golden Poppy: Curried Cauliflower, Spring Pea Green: Minted Fava Bean

Cumin-Spiced Red Lentil Burgers
with Caramelized Torpedo Onions and Harissa Aioli on Toasted Brioche Buns
Thyme-Roasted New Potatoes
Mixed Baby Greens and Shaved Watermelon Radish Salad with a Citrus Yogurt Dressing and Nigella Seeds

Wine and Tea will be available by donation
Given that we can only accommodate a maximum of 40 people, we require your confirmation in advance to guarantee you a seat.
We ask you to respect the time frame allotted for the event - 7.00PM - 10.30PM. This is an immersive experience that begins and ends with the same amount of people: no tardies and no early departees!
