Sing, Meadowlark: A Readers' Theater Play by Ronni Sanlo
The Great Earthquake of 2018 creates a new island off of the coast of California. The gene that causes homosexuality is discovered two years later. All US citizens who test positive are sent to the new island called Cali, never to return to their home country of the Unites States. Sing, Meadowlark recounts the stories of both a young lesbian professional and an older lesbian prime minister of the Isle of Cali, and the challenges of returning to an America that is officially openly hostile to lesbian and gay people.

Proceeds to benefit The L-FUND and The LGBT Center of the Desert Womens Programs.
