emersion is a series of immersive performance art installations presented in the rooms and grounds of creator Grayson Morris's hundred year old home as well as in various public, community and commercial spaces. Each edition is produced in collaboration with a shifting team of contributing performers, artists, and community members.
The word emersion refers to the way Morris's construction of each experience emerges from the presenting site and from the audience's passage through that site. Themes and narratives vary between performances, but Morris's work is exemplified by its juxtaposition of vulnerability and comfort, meloncholy and play. emersion takes place twice a year.
