PIDOT Pop UP Dinner
Welcome to the "Pidot" Pop Up Dinner
ITS A COLLABORATION!
with Happy Grillmore, Eats by E and Lahi!
This time friends come through as we pay homage to the tradition of the motion to "pick up" your food with your hands to eat. "Pidot" is the Ilocano term to "pick up". We have a an amazing communal evening of eating. Most popularly known as "Kamayan".
Multiple courses laid out together to celebrate the mix plates we share with our families and close friends at those jammin parties. Who's birthday is it? What Holiday is it? Who's first communion is it? No matter what the occasion that party was LIVE. Its a night of modern Filipino cuisine slapping some Jam on our cultural roots (no disrespect.) by honoring them and progressing the work of Trailblazers before us. It's Filipino food and culture seen through the lens of Filipino American generations after our Lola's and Lolo's.
Cocktails and wine to pair with each course.
Torta with sunchoke, silver fish cracker, and egg
Lumpia with butterflied shrimp and herbs
Garlic rice and heirloom black rice with roasted seasonal vegetables
