The Gohan Society Presents a Special Evening with Chef Betty Peña of Pig & Khao
The Gohan Society and Chef Betty Peña of Pig & Khao present a unique food tasting of Japanese flavors with Filipino and Thai influences paired with premium sake, wine, and beer
Thursday, December 7 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Chakura 230 E. 9th Street (upstairs from Cha-An Teahouse between Stuyvesant Street and 2nd Avenue), 3rd Floor
Tickets: $50 per person (Space is limited)
A 2017 member of The Gohan Societys U.S.-Japan Chefs Culinary Scholarship Exchange Program, Chef Betty spent ten days in Ishikawa Prefecture and Tokyo, learning about Japans rich culinary heritage. She will apply what she learned in Japan to the menu she is crafting.
Proceeds benefit The Gohan Society's scholarship initiative.
Important note: Chakura is located on the 3rd floor of 230 E. 9th Street in the East Village, upstairs from Cha-An teahouse. There is no elevator on the premises.
