The 9th Annual Nordlys Film & Arts Festival takes place February 16-18 at the historic Bailey Theatre in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. Nordlys, which means northern lights in Norwegian, breaks up the dark days of winter with a full weekend of films, special guests and live music.
The Nordlys film program features an eclectic mix of Canadian and world cinema, highlighting powerful stories, inspiring cinematography, and the discovery of new worlds. Throughout the weekend, a talented line-up of local performers provide musical interludes in our licensed theatre (that's right, you can sip your wine while you watch!), and on Saturday night we host a feature musical concert. Nordlys is run by a passionate team of volunteers and supported by a growing list of generous community sponsors. We're always keen to welcome new audience members to the festival!
We are happy to announce that this years festival will be open to all ages (no longer 18+)! Please note, however, that parental guidance is recommended for many of our films and three features are rated R. See the film descriptions for guidance ratings.
For more details about the Festival, please visit www.nordlysfestival.com, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to receive announcements as February approaches!
