Brain Game
Brain Game first premiered at the Lowry Lab in December of 2010. Since then, it has played at such venues as the Bryant-Lake Bowl, Brit's Pub and HUGE Improv Theater. At long last, we are thrilled to announce its return home! This fast-paced interactive panel-style game show is a cross between NPR's Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me and TV's Whose Line Is It, Anyway? Created by host Dennis Curley, each show features a revolving panel of the Twin Cities' finest improvisers who compete against each other and against the ticking clock.
Audience members who are brave enough to put their names in the bucket at the door will have a chance to win back the cost of admission by joining the cast on stage for some interactive fun. Even if you're not chosen to play, you will leave the theater with a smile on your face, and maybe a new perspective on the events of the week, as dissected and discussed by the panel!
City Pages says: "... powerful convulsions of laughter [are] known to occur as the revolving panels of local humorists exchange spontaneous quips, daring one another (and intrepid audience volunteers) to match wits over an eclectic array of current (and frequently bizarre) topics ... the nonstop volley of improvisational riffing [lends] each performance an edge of inspired unpredictability!"
