Eleni, the American daughter of Greek immigrants with a passion for fashion and a dream to create a whole fulfilling American life for herself, is betrothed by an arranged marriage as a teen, suffers an unhappy family life in her thirties, but ultimately gains her freedom and the attainment of her dreams in her sixties.
