Puppetry Workshop: DIY Shadow Puppetry
This DIY exploration into the simple, elegant and captivating world of shadow puppetry. Learn a range of simplified techniques to recreate some of the world's most exquisite shadow puppet forms and then illuminate them with the flick of a switch.
Annie Katsura Rollins is a practice-led researcher in traditional Chinese shadow puppetry, most recently completing a Fulbright fellowship on the subject. She was a key speaker at the Chinese Shadow Puppet symposium at UConn's Ballard Institute of Puppetry and just completed shadow puppet collaborations with theatre companies in Netherlands and Taiwan.
