Around the World in 80 Days at The Richmond Community Theatre, Rockingham, NC
The story begins with a bank robbery by a mysterious figure. Then we are introduced to Mr. Fogg, honest-looking, well-turned out and with good teeth. He is accompanied by his newly-acquired valet, Mr. Passepartout. Hot in their pursuit is the detective Fix of Scotland Yard, who thinks that Fogg is the man who robbed the bank. This mad-cap adventure quickly moves along on a succession of locomotives, steamers, and hilarity.
Jules Verne's classic tale is retold by playwright Toby Hulse using only three actors. This family friendly play is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
