Hairspray
This Tony Award winning musical features Tracy Turnblad, a "queen-sized" teenage girl who wants her chance to dance on the local television station's after school program with all the pretty, skinny girls. She'd also like a really great boyfriend. And a mother who will let her go after her dreams.
Along the way she realizes there are others with big problems -- this is the beginning of the 1960's after all, and life isn't all about bee-hive hair-dos and Camelot. The Civil Rights movement is starting to heat up, and when Tracy and her dancing friends put their moves on, Baltimore will never be the same again!
