Mystery book swap
Burn through mystery books at an alarming rate? Worried about your book budget for the coming year? Want to discover new authors and stories? Come to the mystery book swap!

TOTALLY FREE!

For each book you bring, you may trade for another. The final ten minutes, whatever's left is yours to grab.

We'll meet at the bar in Poquitos. The lovely location features an enclosed patio space, with great extras like heated seats and friendly waitstaff. Have drink, meet like-minded folks and score some new books. (Feel free to bring in other genres too if you wish.)

We'll swap from 6-7pm, then head across the street to catch Bainbridge Island mystery author Tom Kelly's presentation on COLD CROSSOVER, set right here in the Northwest!

More on Tom's reading: (http://www.elliottbaybook.com/node/events/jan13/kelly)

Bainbridge Island writer Tom Kelly, best known as a sportswriter and real estate reporter at The Seattle Times, as well as the host of a nationally-syndicated KIRO radio program, reads here tonight from Cold Crossover (Crabman Press). This is the first in what might turn into a series of Northwest-based mystery novels. "Cold Crossover is a riveting mystery based on the drama of small-town high school basketball, complete with the missed shot no local will ever forget. Along the way, Tom Kelly takes the reader from the Northwest's wild frontier days to its equally crazed present as a real-estate mecca. Kelly weaves the ferries, crabbers, and timber-men of his region into a timeless and page-turning tale." - Jim Ragsdale, Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
