Songs of the Season - Let There Be Peace
Songs of the Season-Let There Be Peace

Pioneer began presenting Songs of the Season 6 years ago with a small group of performers and musicians wanting to raise money for the needy in Sacramento. We only filled a third of our sanctuary. Now we are performing to sold out houses!

Because of the homeless crisis in Sacramento, homeless youth, ages 13-24 need our help more than ever. This year the proceeds will benefit WIND YOUTH SERVICES who do just that. WIND YOUTH SERVICES provides street outreach, counseling, case management, therapeutic groups, health clinic and emergency shelter.

Our narrator is Capitol Public Radio's Donna Apidone. There will be individual performances by Sacramento's up and coming artists, the 35 voice Celebration Choir and 24 piece Pioneer Orchestra all under the direction of our Music Director, Jim Jordan. The performance will be in the Pioneer Church sanctuary, known for its acoustics.

Come, enjoy, help your neighbor and leave humming your favorite holiday song or carol. And stop by our reception after the performance for some punch and Christmas cookies! See you there!
