2018 TWIN CITIES JEWISH HUMOR FESTIVAL presents
COMEDIAN GINA GOLD
and Special Guest Wendy Berkowitz
Gina Gold is an African American, Jewish humorist, filmmaker and stage artist. She grew up in a New York neighborhood thinking oy vey was something all black people said. After telling a story called Hands Up on NPRs radio show Snap Judgment, Gina fell in love with storytelling and started her own series called TMI (Too Much Information) which she currently produces. TMI features a rotating cast of storytellers giving an unadulterated, often hardcore look at life. She also performs with Youre Funny But You Dont Look Jewish, a touring stand-up comedy show with some very funny African American, Indian, Italian American and Vietnamese Jewish comedians.
Local comedian Wendy Berkowitz has performed at House of Comedy, OUTLoud, Sisyphus Comedy Club, Comedy Corner Underground, The Joke Joint (Funniest Person in Minnesota 2016 finalist), and at the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston Massachusetts. Having retired from her finance career in 2015, Wendy comes to stand-up late in life, or just in time depending on which actuarial tables you consult. Buoyed by her youthful appearance and abundance of free time, Wendy continues to bring her older than I look brand of comedy to audiences primarily in the blue states, because lesbians just like the color blue.
