Better Halves Dinner with Zach Meloy and Hector Santiago
Two halves make a whole, or in the case of Chef Zach Meloy and Chef Hector Santiago, make for a fantastic culinary event benefitting an important cause.  The two all-star Atlanta chefs are coming together for one night on November 16 to serve up a collaborative dinner with a portion of proceeds going towards aide in Puerto Rico. The donated proceeds will go to Ser Familia, which is an organization dedicated to strengthening Latino families through programs that empower them to thrive and enjoy a healthy family environment and is actively involved in supporting to relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Chef Hector Santiago, of Old Fourth Wards popular El Super Pan, has been an icon in the Atlanta culinary scene for over 15 years. His current concept is a lively sandwich bar that celebrates bold Puerto Rican flavors and classic Latino bakery food. Santiago plans to open a second El Super Pan location in 2018 at The Battery Atlanta.

Held at Better Half, guests will start off the evening with a cocktail reception featuring select  cocktails and canapes at 6:30 p.m. Following the cocktail reception, guests will sit down at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy a six-course collaborative chef dinner complete with wine pairings. The dinner will conclude with cordial and candies from Better Half.

Cocktails + Canapes (Meloy + Santiago)
Yuca Gnudi, with caldo negro de calamar, calamar al al plancha, yuca leaf kimchee (Santiago)
Hearts of Palm Relleno with white bean puree, warm brown butter vinaigrette, coriander croquant (Meloy)
Rice Crusted Trout with arroz con esencia de arroz con pollo, trout liver, cucumber, pimento trout roe (Santiago)
Slow Cooked Pork Neck with crispy pork belly, fermented white cabbage, roasted sweet potato (Meloy)
Valdeon Blue Cheese with caramelized treviso, amaretto cookie crust (Santiago)
Guava Tart with cream cheese ice cream, preserved orange, candied jalapeƱo (Meloy)
Candy + Cordial

Tickets for the evening are $125 per diner and include wine pairings per course, tax and gratuity.
