Pippin: The Musical
PIPPIN: The Musical, Granite State Arts Academy Public Chartered High School
A play-within-a-play, Pippin begins with a traveling theatre troupe showing up to invite the audience into the story of the young prince Pippin, son of the Holy Roman Emperor, King Charlemagne. Hes fresh out of University and searching for the meaning of his life. Periodically, the Leading Player, who directs the action, shows up to give Pippin advice or adjust the performance of the show. After experimenting with soldiering and war, women and carnal pleasures, art, the holy life, and ruling the land, Pippin finds that nothing was quite so easy or fulfilling as he had hoped. He becomes very distraught about all of this until he discovers an average woman," Catherine, and falls in love. Still, when she asks him to stay with her and her son Theo, and become the head of the household, he once again refuses to compromise his dreams, gives up on the venture, and runs away. Now at the end of the road, with no idea what to do next, the Leading Player insists that the only way hell achieve his dreams and be remembered is if he performs the most spectacular act in their repertoire...the grand finale!

Performances will be on Friday, November 10th @7:00pm, & Saturday, November 11th @7:00pm and on Sunday, November 12th @2:00pm.
The show will be held at Granite State Arts Academy in the Performing Arts Center (P.A.C) 19 Keewaydin Drive Ste. #4 Salem, NH 03079
Tickets are $7.00 for students and senior citizens and $12.00 for adults. (There is a small processing fee added at checkout)
***Due to the intimate nature of our venue and the high demand for seating it is unlikely that we will have tickets available at the door. To ensure your seat please purchase your tickets online.
