Event
Kuinka, Motus + The Mountain Flowers at The Green Frog
This is for the 21+ show at 9pm. There will be an all ages event at 5pm, tickets available at the door, first come first served.
KUINKA Described by NPR as joyous folk pop, Kuinka "laces modern folk and Americana with an electronic jolt, waltzing along the grooved edges of dream-pop, synth-pop, and Brooklyns mid-aughts guitar-rock revival" (Vanyaland). Their genre-defying music features several different lead singers, four-part harmony, and frequently eclectic instrumentation including cello, banjo, synthesizers, ukulele and electronic drums. But for all of their sonic experimentation, the Seattle quartet's songs are consistently linked by an infectious energy that remains present in everything they do.
MOTUS is a seven-piece group based in Bellingham, WA that pulls from neo-soul, jazz, R&B, and funk musical stylings. Originally founded as the folk-rock band Momo Grace in 2015, the group performed throughout Washington state for two years and released two albums. The band went through many transitions following folk artist and songwriter Zach Kutkeys departure from the group. They find inspiration in socially and politically conscious music and aim to compose songs that are in the same vein.
THE MOUNTAIN FLOWERS Located in beautiful Bellingham, WA, Joe Sneva, Aaron Wilford, and Freddy Jimenez make up this indie pop goodness. The Mountain Flowers use their upbeat, reverby, beachy sound, to accompany their wistful words and catchy choruses, often reminiscing of times spent on the open highways of West Coast America.
