Breaking Ground Poetry Slam!
Twelve incredible young writers and three adult performers will represent Breaking Ground Poets at the historic Vintage Theater in Scranton, where teenage poets will converge to compete using original poetry and build community as writers. Five teams. Four rounds. With the one and only poet emcee - Jim Warner. It is an evening of transformative dialogue and art, and you will walk away from the competition feeling renewed and excited about youth poetry.
The youth Breaking Ground Poets consist of high school students from Tunkhannock Area. The adult team features local teachers and published poets: Amye Archer, Dale Wilsey and Katie Wisnosky. Five local celebrity judges will also be chosen to score the poetry on a scale of 1-10.
