Grief and Grace Gathering, Nov 5, (by donation)
GRIEF and GRACE Gathering and Ritual Sunday, November 5 noon- 6pm
Donations gratefully accepted.
Please JOIN US for a gentle, loving, and skillfully supported gathering.
Bring your sadness, anger, stories, terror, silence or hope. Come quietly, wildly or with much weighing on your heart. Come with old sorrows or fresh ones. Or come in support of others. THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU, fire weary or not, no matter your joys or sorrows, grief or grace.
Communal grieving offers something that we do not get when we grieve by ourselves. Communal grieving helps us get the kind of deep healing we need through sharing, acknowledgement and being witnessed.
Let's give our experiences the care and dignity they deserve so we can be whole and healthy on the other side...
We'll have facilitated times for reflection, writing, movement & small group sharing. The day culminates with a beautiful ritual that supports the expression and release of grief, whether personal or collective.
Please bring artifacts, photos, statues, stones, etc., that depict "HOPE", "ANCESTORS" and "ALLIES". These you will be taking back home.
For the "GRIEF" altar, bring one or more biodegradable items that represents your losses or what you are letting go of (e.g., a picture, stone, wood, carved object, etc) These will be added to the Community Bundle and will not be taken back home.
You may also bring any of the following:
snacks tissues pen, paper or journals flowers or artifacts for a community altar (see above) flameless or unscented candles photos or pictures of ancestors, allies or helpers potluck items for the 2:30pm break
Donations gratefully accepted
