Way of the Mindful Improvisor Retreat
Befriending the monster baby, that playful, creative, oft-hidden and sometimes scary part within each of us, leads directly to discovery, delight, and a life well-lived. This retreat will help you forge new neural pathways, play attention in ways you never thought possible, and live and work with renewed creative fire.
Through mindful contemplation and playful exercises drawn from the world of improvisational theatre, youll develop an embodied presence that breeds courage, connection, and creativity. We learn to pay acute attention and to take joyful care of those around us. We embrace the adventure in each moment. Together, mindfulness and improv make us and life better.
As playful practitioners ourselves, we know this truth in our bones and weve had it reaffirmed again and again with our participants. Artists and athletes build resilience in the face of setbacks. Leaders learn to innovate with nimble acuity and authentic relationship. Educators find powerful paths for true development. And seekers of all sorts discover previously hidden wellsprings of insight and joy.
This active and contemplative retreat connects you to your own Monster Baby. Together as a small group, we create a safe and experiential learning lab that sharpens self-awareness and revitalizes relationship with the wider world. Youll have time to learn, to breathe, and to integrate your experience. Youll laugh a lot. And youll almost certainly welcome a new you into the world, more curious, more connected, more eager for living a life of adventure and delight.
