Our Holiday Showcase will be the highlight of the season!
Join us on Saturday, December 16th as we honor Broadway Musicals and traditional Holiday classics, combined with artistic and electric dancers. We're bringing you the world's oldest dance through fresh, innovative eyes.
What can you expect to see this show? We welcome the West Michigan Chinese Dance Association for two performances as we prepare to offer traditional Chinese Dance in the 2018 New Year!
Then Delkash Dance Company will be presenting for the FIRST TIME, a dance style from Alexandria, Egypt called "Melaya Leff". This charming and flirtatious, folk-inspired number will have you giggling and getting in touch with your beledi heart. Mahmoud Reda is famous for making this dance style so stage-worthy!
Witness a "Zaffa" Processional, in Egypt the bride and groom often hire live musicians and shamadan (candelabra) dancers to light the path from the bride's home to her grooms home. Today, this is often celebrated indoors now as the new bride and groom are escorted into the reception together. It is a rich and beautiful part of Egyptian culture we will reenact for you!
