We live in an increasingly diverse world and children are naturally curious about differences. They are aware of them from very young ages. How we as adults respond to their spoken and unspoken questions about differences directly impacts how they will think about these ideas. This session will provide opportunities for discussion as well as strategies and resources to help children think and talk about their ideas and feelings about themselves, the differences and similarities among people, and about fairness and unfairness in peoples interactions with each other.

Please note: Hilltop has chosen to provide childcare to support your attendance at this event. We recognize, however, that some children can have difficulty adapting to an extended day and different environment and staff. Please do what feels best for your family about child care this evening, whether it's taking part in childcare at Hilltop or arranging for a familiar person to care for your child in your home, if you have the option.
