Sidney Blumenthal
Wrestling with His Angel: 1849-1856 is volume II of Sidney Blumenthal's acclaimed biography, The Political Life of Abraham Lincoln. Blumenthal reveals how Lincoln and his friends operated behind the scenes to destroy the anti-immigrant party in Illinois to clear the way for a new Republican Party--a party that ultimately launched him to the presidency. Blumenthal is the former assistant and senior adviser to President Bill Clinton and senior adviser to Hillary Clinton. He has been a national staff reporter for The Washington Post, The New Yorker and senior writer for The New Republic.
Single tickets are $18 each; Premier Passes (good for all JBF author events throughout the year) are $99.00.
Free student tickets are available only at the J's Box Office at the Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur or at the door of the event with a valid ID.
