Sippican Choral Society 2017 Christmas Concert Friday Dec 1 and Sunday Dec 3
In our 53 Consecutive Year of Singing the Sippican Choral Society, with the SouthCoast Children's Chorus, Orchestra and Soloists will be performing Schuberts Mass in G in the first half of the program. The second half presents such classics as Christmas Day,O Gracious Light, Heilige Nacht, Ich steh an deiner Krippen hier,How Far is it to Bethlehem, and How Great Our Joy.
Led by Music Director Dr. Tianxu Tzou and accompanied by Michell Gordon in the her 17th year of being the Society's pianist, the choruses and a string quartet with three soloists will present an inspiring program of sacred and secular Christmas music.
Once again we are pleased to sing in the glorious acoustics and beautiful historic architecture of St. Lawrence Martyr Church 110 Summer Street in New Bedford MA [Dec1]. And our annual concert returns to Wickenden Chapel, Tabor Academy, Marion MA [Dec3].
