BTP Fall Showcase
Our Fall Showcase features two exciting new one-act plays by local playwrights, including The Red Letter Locker by Randy Petersen, and Apostle of Freedom by Leonard Dozier.
In The Red Letter Locker by Randy Petersen, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is transported into the present time by a time machine made by his friend, H.G. Wells. Doyle helps a high school student, falsely accused of a crime, exonerate herself by using the craft of Sherlockian deduction.
Apostle of Freedom is a one-man show written and performed by Leonard Dozier, who passionately portrays the character of Richard Allen, the founder of the A.M.E. church in Philadelphia. Allen's indomitable will is on full display against the backdrop of the Yellow Fever epidemic as he fights for life, freedom, and equality, while prophetically looking toward the future.
