Monterey Bay Subsection Dinner and Seminar
This event will include a social hour (5:30-6:30 pm), followed by dinner (6:30-8 pm), and followed by a presentation (8-9 pm) by Dr. Claudia Luhrs, a Professor at Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of the Naval Postgraduate School.
The talk will present some of the strategies used to fabricate nanomaterials and the impact of the preparation routes on the microstructures generated. The correlation between structural features and materials reactivity, thermal, electrical and mechanical properties will be discussed. Study cases will include materials for energy storage, shock resistance and structural applications.
