En Medio de la Nada (In the Middle of Nothing)

Living within a society pressured by the routine advancement and the constant human disconnection can unbalance the human being, who by  its very nature, can be affected to the extreme degree of having the need of giving life to each item or situation that it experiences, of clinging to a feeling, or even seeking the absolute moment of immortality: death.

"In The Middle Of Nowhere" showcases elements with which one works, plays with, or with which one uses to survive day to day, as well as indelible feelings that seek to incarnate its material value within one. That same ephemeral value which is present when in an anniversary you get a thousand balloons of "happiness", and in the end youre left with emptyness. Living your life as if you were on a skateboard and not feeling the ground beneath you or the passing of the wind. Holding on to something material, no matter what course life takes and fighting for that object to survive, which is no more than an object. FInding yourself in the moment where the pure feeling of motherhood is placed in doubt and you begin to have the internal conflict that 1+1=2, although sometimes one is not even there. That little by little you begin losing your identity because your origin does not fit in the box of puppets of society, leading to internal imbalance and losing your identity altogether. And there, in the middle of the nothing, in a neutral time, you find six spirits amalgamating with the art, clean and pure.

ProyectoTeatro is pleased to invite you to witness 6 artists from diverse backgrounds by defining a space in the sample of Cuban contemporary dance in the Middle of Nowhere" of the 28 of September until 1st October. We look forward to seeing you!
