ArtSpot Productions, Mondo Bizarro and Another Gulf Is Possible present:
CRY YOU ONE, an outdoor, site-responsive, theatrical performance that celebrates the people and cultures of South Louisiana while turning clear eyes on the crisis of our sinking communities. This unforgettable look at the interconnectedness of land and culture in Louisiana uses poetry, song, small-group interaction and imagined scenarios to educate and inspire audiences to get involved in the movement to save coastal Louisiana.
Tickets are available on a "sliding-scale" basis. You can choose one of the preset levels, or set your own. You can also add a special donation for hurricane recovery.
About sliding scale ticketing: the $25 rate covers the actual labor and productions costs associated with the show. Any amount you pay over $25 will be treated as a donation. You might consider paying less on the sliding scale if you are un- or under- employed, have significant debt, lack access to familial/other assets and/or are supporting dependents. You might consider paying more on the scale if you have full time employment that enables you to meet your basic needs and have expendable income, you have no dependents and little debt, and/or you have access to multiple assets or familial wealth.
Please dress appropriately for spending two hours outdoors, including closed-toe footwear.
Produced in collaboration with the City Of New Orleans Office of Resilience and Sustainability and Gulf Restoration Network.
