Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab Presents: Body and Soul
Based on the documentary by Alice Elliott, BODY AND SOUL tells the story of two amazing women who, despite having significant disabilities, find a way to live a life of meaning and independence by living together. Diana Braun, who has Down syndrome, cares for Kathy Conour, who has severe cerebral palsy, in a small suburban home in Springfield, Illinois. Together they are able to cope with almost every problem in their daily life with humor and grace.
When well-meaning people try to help, Diana and Kathys world falls apart. It is up to them to find a way to put it back together. BODY AND SOUL features Mary Liz McNamara as Diana and Tracy Sallows as Kathy.
