MGG Lawn & Land Forum Workshop
Catch-up on Natural Lawn Care and Integrated Pest Management progress across the Midwest at this unique event. Both practitioners and experts will present and field questions on the approaches they take to cost-effectively manage grass to minimize environmental and health risk. Midwest Pesticide Action Center staff will facilitate with policy resources, case studies, and vetted research to support the efforts of your park/school district, municipality, or organization to limit toxic inputs when handling pest and weed pressures.
The Midwest Grows Green Lawn & Land Forum is a North Central IPM Center working group that documents, summarizes, and improves the state of IPM and NLC policies and practices locally, regionally, and nationally. All summaries, findings, and resources developed from this workshop will remain open source on the Illinois Sports Turf Managers Associations website. Panelists include Dr. Susan Buchanan, Great Lakes Center for Childrens Environmental Health, Carl Gorra, Naperville Park District, Kristi Solberg, Park Ridge Park District, Dr. Paul Koch, University of Wisconsin, Richard Hentschel, University of Illinois Extension, Allison Neubauer, IL-IN Sea Grant and more!
