The delights of love and the intense pain of separation are expressed in Henry Purcells songs and instrumental pieces, enhanced by readings from the 11th century Hindu poem The Love Thief.
Brian Cummings, known to St Louis audiences as one of the three countertenors in John Adams's orchestral works, will enchant us with sublime music and poetry.
