A marvel, A miracle, America...A Musical Obituary for America
G. Joyce Chapman, creator, playwright/composer, Dramaturg-Pajech
Juson Williams, director, co-writer for AMAMA, choreographer
John Milo Chapman, producer, co-writer, CEO-Pajech
America is on the skids, fighting poverty and WWIII. The President has launched nuclear weapons in an effort to support our allies. But now nuclear missiles are aimed at America. On her birthday. Poverty-stricken Americans with no hope gather, awaiting the inevitable; while the elite disappear into their underground bunkers. A diverse group, symbolic of Americans all over the nation, celebrates the nation's birthday, singing tributes to their country, as well as songs about the struggles many suffered during America's history. In the end, despite their differences, they stand together awaiting their destruction and the destruction of the American dream.
Saturday October 7, 7pm

Emerging Artists returns with their one-of-a-kind festival. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters; by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights; by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
NO REFUNDS will be granted.
