Talk & Book Signing - Calder: The Conquest of Time
Alexander Calder is one of the most beloved and widely admired artists of the twentieth century. In this groundbreaking biography of the artist, which is based on unprecedented access to Calder's letters and papers as well as scores of interviews, Jed Perl shows us why Calder was--and remains--a barrier breaker, an avant-garde artist with mass appeal.
Mr. Perl is one of todays pre-eminent art critics, and a long-time writer for The New Republic. He will be joined in conversation by Alexander S. C.
