Brian Jabas Smith was a champion cyclist at 14 and the frontman of two successful rock bands before succumbing to heady crystal meth and alcohol addictions. He survived his experiences and went on to become an award-winning journalist, music writer and fiction author. Currently on a seven-month nationwide tour, Smith has enjoyed performing with local authors and musicians, screening web episodes based on his collection of linked narratives, and reading from his debut short story collection, Spent Saints. Join us for what promises to be a memorable night of local talent, and gritty, empathic prose and filmmaking - a night of Spent Saints.
